The Cottages is a Spinnaker Resorts timeshare of cottages on quiet cul-de-sacs off Valencia Road, in the southwest part of the gated Shipyard community on Hilton Head Island. Spinnaker calls it its most secluded Hilton Head resort, and most of the cottages look over lagoons or the fairways of Shipyard Golf Club.
Owners stay on their Spinnaker ownership and can exchange through RCI or Interval International, and Spinnaker also takes rental bookings through its own booking site.
The Cottages
The cottages are built in the style of Key West bungalows, with front porches. There are two layouts: a two-bedroom, two-bath cottage that sleeps six and a three-bedroom, three-bath cottage that sleeps eight. Kitchens open onto the living area, and each cottage has a separate dining room and a private porch or balcony.
Pool, Hot Tub and Bike Paths
The resort has an outdoor pool and hot tub, barbecue areas and Wi-Fi. From the cottages, Shipyard’s bike paths lead through the palmettos to the beach access and the rest of the community.
Guests at Spinnaker’s four Shipyard resorts, The Cottages, The Carolina Club, Southwind and Egret Point, can join the activity program at Spinnaker’s Waterside resort, from pool games and trivia to dolphin cruises. Some activities carry a charge.

The resort is at 18 Valencia Road, near the Pope Avenue gate. Its neighbors on Valencia Road include Spinnaker’s Egret Point and the Hilton Head Health wellness resort.
