What a Segway Tour Is Like
A guided Segway tour is a faster walking tour. You get a short lesson first, then ride shaded trails with a guide who stops to talk about the plants, wildlife and history. Most routes start at Honey Horn, the former plantation that is now home to the Coastal Discovery Museum. The Historic Mitchelville ride goes to Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park. Riders must be 12 or older on most tours, 10 on some. Beginners say they are riding comfortably within minutes.
