Hilton Head Farmers Market Days and Hours

Three weekly markets on the island and one in Bluffton, with the day, the hours and the address for each.

There is no single Hilton Head farmers market. There are three weekly markets on the island, two of them on Tuesday mornings, and a fourth in Bluffton on Thursday afternoons. They all sell local produce, baked goods and handmade goods. The hours and the seasons differ, and the table below shows which day each one runs.

The Hilton Head Island Markets

On a week-long stay the Saturday market and one of the Tuesday markets are the two to fit in. The Tuesday choice is between the grounds of the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn and the plaza at Sea Pines Center.

A Market Just Off the Island

Bluffton’s market runs on Thursdays through the whole year, which makes it the one to know in the weeks when the island’s markets are on a winter break. The market is in Old Town Bluffton, so pair it with the town’s shops and restaurants.

Thursday afternoons at Martin Family Park in Old Town Bluffton, year round, a short drive off the island.

Fresh Produce Between Market Days

On the days with no market, fresh produce and just-landed seafood are still a short drive away at the island’s produce stands and seafood markets.

Lowcountry Produce Market & Café

Lowcountry Produce Market & Café in Sea Pines Center: made-to-order doughnuts, breakfast and lunch daily 8 to 2:30, patio seating and online ordering.

Spanish Wells Seafood & Produce

Spanish Wells Seafood & Produce, a Gullah family-run stand on Spanish Wells Road, Hilton Head: local shrimp, fish and fresh produce. Closed Mondays.

Seafood Markets on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island seafood markets for local shrimp, fresh fish and oysters, plus steamed shrimp and a Lowcountry boil to go, with phone numbers.

Tips for the Market

  • Go early. Bread, eggs and the best of the produce sell out before the market closes.

  • Bring your own bag. It saves juggling jars and loaves back to the car.

  • Plan for weather. The Shelter Cove market runs rain or shine and posts extreme-weather cancellations on its Facebook page, so look there first.

  • Ask before bringing a dog. The Shelter Cove market is pet friendly, and the others set their own rules.
