They are spread across more than 40 named neighborhoods inside the Palmetto Dunes gate, so a stay here means a pass to get in, three miles of beach on the ocean side, and golf, tennis and pickleball inside the community. The resort runs the biggest rental program, and independent companies rent a lot of the units too.

They are what most places call condos: units owned one by one, in a building or a cluster of buildings with shared pools, rented through a management company. Palmetto Dunes condo rentals and villa rentals are the same thing, and a few complexes are the main choices. Villamare and Hampton Place are the big oceanfront buildings near the south gate, and The Village at Palmetto Dunes is a collection of studios, villas and townhomes near the lagoon. Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Rentals
For the beach at your door, the resort lists Barrington Arms, Barrington Court, Captain’s Walk and Beach Villas among its oceanfront and ocean-view complexes, along with Villamare and Hampton Place. Several have a boardwalk to the sand. Beach Villas at Palmetto Dunes sits next to The Dunes House, the resort’s beachfront bar and grill. Near-ocean complexes such as Barrington Park are set back from the beach, with pond and resort views.
Golf Course, Lagoon and Marina Views
Inland complexes trade the ocean for quiet and for golf, tennis and lagoon access. Fazio Villas are two- to four-bedroom villas on the golf course, Centre Court Villas sit next to the George Fazio course and the tennis center, and Captain’s Cove is a group of two-story townhomes on the lagoon, steps from the beach. The resort’s three courses, the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront, George Fazio and Arthur Hills, are all inside the gate.

The resort’s own rentals are for three to seven nights or more, and guests get an amenity card with up to 15 percent off resort dining, bike rentals, golf, and tennis and pickleball lessons, plus court time when it is free. Palmetto Dunes Pet Friendly Rentals
Pet friendly Palmetto Dunes rentals exist, with limits. In the resort’s own rentals, certified service animals are welcome year-round, and family dogs up to 40 pounds, one per unit, are allowed from October 1 to March 31 for a non-refundable fee. No pets are allowed from April through September. Independent companies and individual owners set their own rules, so ask before you book.
Check-In and Gate Passes
Check-in for the resort’s rentals is at 4 p.m. at the Welcome Center at 4 Queens Folly Road, and one car pass comes with the stay.
