The Breeze trolley schedule is simple: every afternoon and evening of the season, including Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4 and Labor Day. The Town says to expect a trolley at each stop about every 30 minutes; on busy summer nights the gap can stretch, so check the live map before you walk to a stop. There is no morning service and nothing after Labor Day: in the off-season, plan on a bike, a cab or the car.

The Hilton Head trolley route is two loops that meet at Shelter Cove Towne Centre. The South Island Route (above) runs south from Shelter Cove past Wexford and Park Plaza to Coligny Beach Park; northbound it comes back by way of the Courtyard hotel, the Waterside resort, Park Plaza, Dunnagans Alley and South Island Square. The Mid-Island Route (below) runs north from Shelter Cove along Folly Field and the beach resorts to the Westin, and returns by Port Royal and Island Links. Change at Shelter Cove to ride from the Westin to Coligny.

The Breeze charges no fare: the Town, the Federal Transit Administration and SCDOT pay for it, and Palmetto Breeze Transit runs it. Just wait at a marked stop and climb on. A free trolley on Hilton Head is the easy answer to evening parking at Coligny: ride in from a stop near your rental and skip the hunt for a space. Coligny Beach Park’s own lot is free all year, but it fills on summer evenings; the island’s other lots and rates are on Hilton Head parking.
The Breeze Trolley vs the Sea Pines Trolley
They are two separate services. The Breeze is the island’s public trolley and never goes inside Sea Pines. The Sea Pines trolley is run by the community for owners and guests inside the gates: three routes between Harbour Town, the Sea Pines Beach Club, South Beach and the Greenwood Drive entrance, also free, on its own summer schedule. If you are staying in Sea Pines, that is the trolley you want; from Sea Pines, the nearest Breeze stops are along Pope Avenue toward Coligny.
The Free Beach Shuttle to Coligny
On summer weekends the Breeze also runs a free beach shuttle from the USCB Hilton Head campus, 1 Sandshark Drive, where the Town opens 220 free parking spaces, to Coligny Beach Park. In 2026 it ran from May 22 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., about every 20 minutes. It is the answer when the Coligny lot is full by mid-morning.
