About Hilton Head hotels
The island’s hotels sit in three clusters: around Coligny and South Forest Beach on the ocean, along Pope Avenue and Marina Side Drive in the middle, and near the bridge at the north end. Beach House, Holiday Inn Express, Courtyard and the S.R Hotel are all close to Coligny Plaza. A hotel with a large footprint, several pools and a spa is a resort, and those are on the resorts page.
Boutique hotels are few here: Beach House, Palmera Inn & Suites and the S.R Hotel are the independents, and most of the rest are Hilton, Marriott or IHG. Home2 Suites and Palmera Inn have kitchenettes, which suits longer stays. Inns and motels are rare, and Red Roof Inn & Suites and Simple Rewards Inn are the closest to that.
