The Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center is the racquet facility inside the Palmetto Dunes resort, and it is open to anyone, not just people staying in the community. You book a court, a lesson or a clinic, pick up a racquet at the pro shop if you need one, and play. Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center Courts
Tennis is played on 17 clay courts. Clay is slower than a hard court, so points run longer. Select courts are lit for night play until 10 p.m., which makes an evening match possible after a hot afternoon. Closed-toe athletic shoes and proper tennis clothes are required, and crocs are not allowed on court.
Booking a Court, and the Cancellation Rule
Courts are reserved ahead of time through the center. Anyone can book three days in advance, and guests staying in a resort-managed rental can book five days out and get complimentary court time when it is available. A racquet rents for $5 if you did not bring one. Cancel more than an hour before your time and you get a full refund; inside the hour there is no refund at all, and a refund can take up to five business days to arrive.
Palmetto Dunes Tennis Lessons and Clinics
The center runs tennis lessons and clinics, and clinics and programs are booked online based on availability, so look at the schedule before you plan a trip around one. Guests in a resort-managed rental get up to 15 percent off lessons with the resort’s amenity card, and the resort also sells a tennis stay-and-play package. Tennis Resorts Online gave the center a bronze medal for tennis and a silver for pickleball in its 2026 rankings.

Getting There
