The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra (HHSO) is the island's professional orchestra, and 2026-27 is its 45th anniversary season. The orchestra plays nine programs a season at First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, with performances on Sundays at 4 p.m. and Mondays at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the 2026-27 season went on sale September 8, 2026. Season Highlights
Olga Kern: Beethoven's Emperor, October 25, 2026: pianist Olga Kern plays Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 and the orchestra plays Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture, followed by a gala. One performance only.
Holiday Pops, November 28 to 30, 2026: vocalist Melinda Doolittle with the HHSO Chorus, including a Bluffton performance at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
Verdi Requiem, April 11 and 12, 2027: the orchestra and chorus with the Claflin University Concert Choir and soloists from the Savannah VOICE Festival.
Mahler's Titan Symphony, April 25, 2027: one final performance by the full orchestra.
