Two SERG Restaurant Group favorites swapped buildings, and a new barbecue place took over an old one.

Marsh Side Restaurant & Bar, a SERG Restaurant Group seafood restaurant at Broad Creek Marina on Simmons Road, is slated to open in spring 2027, with indoor and outdoor bars, a raw bar and wide windows over the marsh. 7 Brew Coffee, which already runs a drive-thru at the foot of the bridge, has proposed a second one in the Northridge Plaza parking lot and is working through the town’s approval process.
Recently closed
DryDock Seafood & Spirits closed on January 31, 2026, after 32 years at 840 William Hilton Parkway; the Atrium building it was in is being redeveloped by SERG Restaurant Group as event and office space. Red Stripes Caribbean Cuisine & Lounge, in the same building, closed on January 17, 2026, and its owners said they were looking for a new location. Papi Tequila at The Triangle is listed by its operator as temporarily closed, while Uncle Billy’s next door stays open.
Earlier closings explain several of the new names above: Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen closed in December 2024 and is now Nala’s, Jarvis Creek General Store closed at the start of 2025 and is now Tin & Tallow, and Lucky Rooster’s building is now Nectar. Stack’s Pancakes & More closed suddenly in September 2024 after two decades on the island, and Aunt Chilada’s closed after 36 years.
