Hilton Head Island Grocery Delivery

Locally owned since 2007. Order online, and the team shops, gets access from your rental company, and puts it all away before you arrive. Order by Wednesday for Saturday; Daufuskie too.

An online store that stocks the fridge, pantry and freezer before you arrive. Needs 24 hours’ notice, with a rush fee for less. Rental owners can get a page for their property.

You place a pickup order at Harris Teeter, Publix or Kroger; they collect it, deliver and stock the kitchen for a $135 flat fee. Celebration setups too.

Shop its online grocery list and arrive to a stocked kitchen, on Hilton Head or in Bluffton.

The easiest grocery delivery on Hilton Head is the kind that is finished before you get there. These four local services take your order days or weeks ahead, shop it, arrange entry with your rental company or owner, and stock the fridge and pantry so dinner is ready the evening you arrive. Order early for a Saturday check-in: the busiest weekends fill up.

To do it yourself, the stores deliver too. Publix delivers and offers curbside pickup through Instacart; both Harris Teeters have ExpressLane pickup and delivery through their partners; Kroger and Walmart take pickup and delivery orders in their apps; and The Fresh Market offers curbside pickup and delivery from its site. The Piggly Wiggly is in-store only.

For property managers and owners: a pre-arrival stocking service is the most-asked-for extra on a Saturday changeover. Low Country Grocery Runner arranges access directly with rental companies, and Groceries Ahead builds a page for an owner’s property. Link this page in your booking confirmation or welcome email so guests can order before they drive down.

Farmers Market, Seafood and Quick Stops

Hilton Head Community Market

The Saturday morning farmers market at Shelter Cove Community Park: produce, local seafood, coffee and baked goods.

Beach Market at Coligny

Beach toys, sunscreen, snacks and ice cream beside Coligny Beach, for what the grocery run forgot.

For fish and shrimp straight off the boat, the island’s seafood markets beat any supermarket counter, and the Piggly Wiggly at Coligny is the one that doubles as a grocery store. For a convenience stop, there are general stores at the beach in Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes. For wine and spirits, see our Hilton Head liquor stores guide: most share a shopping centre with a supermarket.

There is no Trader Joe’s either, on the island or in Bluffton or Savannah. Grocery Shopping on Hilton Head Island, SC

Most rentals change over on Saturday, so Saturday afternoon is the busiest time in every supermarket on Hilton Head Island, and shoppers report shelves running thin until the early-week restock. Pick the store by where you are staying. In Sea Pines, Forest Beach or Shipyard, use the Island Crossing Publix, the Park Plaza Harris Teeter or the Piggly Wiggly at Coligny. In Palmetto Dunes or Shelter Cove, Kroger and The Fresh Market are closest. On the north end, in Port Royal, Hilton Head Plantation or Indigo Run, there are Walmart, the Festival Centre Publix and the Main Street Harris Teeter.
