The Carolina Club is a Spinnaker Resorts timeshare of two-story townhomes on Southwind Drive, in the northeast corner of the gated Shipyard community on Hilton Head Island. The townhomes sit among azaleas, magnolias and lagoons and back onto the Galleon nine at Shipyard Golf Club.
Owners stay on their Spinnaker ownership and can exchange through RCI or Interval International, and Spinnaker also takes rental bookings through its own booking site.
The Townhomes at The Carolina Club
There are two layouts: a two-bedroom, two-bath townhome that sleeps six and a three-bedroom, three-bath townhome that sleeps eight. Each has a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, dining and living areas with an entertainment center, and bedrooms with TVs and their own bathrooms. Private decks look out over the golf course or a lagoon.
Pool, Tennis and Pickleball
The resort is self-contained. It has an outdoor pool and hot tub, tennis and pickleball courts, a sport court for basketball and shuffleboard, grills, a children’s playground, and a clubhouse with an exercise room, a lounge and a kitchen. Every unit comes with two adult bikes and Wi-Fi.
Guests at Spinnaker’s four Shipyard resorts, The Carolina Club, Southwind, Egret Point and The Cottages, can join the activity program at Spinnaker’s Waterside resort, from pool games and trivia to dolphin cruises. Some activities carry a charge.
Golf at The Carolina Club
The Galleon course runs behind the townhomes. Carolina Club owners also get golf privileges at the Golden Bear course at Indigo Run.
Check-In and Policies
Check-in is at 4 p.m. at Spinnaker’s front desk in the S.R Hotel, 35 Deallyon Avenue, which is open around the clock, not at the resort. The Carolina Club is smoke-free and pet-free.

Where The Carolina Club Is
The resort is at 200 Southwind Drive, at the northeast end of Shipyard near the US-278 side of the community. Spinnaker’s Southwind resort is its neighbor on the same drive; Southwind II, on Colonnade Drive, is a separate resort. The beach is a bike ride away on Shipyard’s paths, or a short drive to the beach parking at the end of Shipyard Drive.
