Islanders Beach Park, on Folly Field Road, is closed to the public from September 8, 2026 through May 31, 2027 while the Town of Hilton Head Island completes a second phase of site improvements. It’s worth knowing for when it reopens — locals call it Islanders Beach because it’s the stretch year-round residents actually use, a short walk off the road rather than one of the more tourist-facing beaches nearby. About Islanders Beach Park

Islanders Beach Park sits at 92 Folly Field Road on Hilton Head Island’s north-central shore, one of the seven town-designated beach parks alongside Coligny, Driessen, Folly Field, Burke’s Beach, Fish Haul, and Alder Lane. The name isn’t marketing — it comes from local use. Compared with the beaches around Coligny Circle, Islanders Beach draws fewer visitors and more residents, which is exactly what its name says.

Amenities at Islanders Beach Park

When it’s open, Islanders Beach Park has permit (paid) parking, restrooms and outdoor showers, a playground, a picnic pavilion with a grill, and a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk with beach matting down to the sand. None of that is usable during the current closure — the amenities themselves, along with the boardwalk and parking area, are part of what’s being rebuilt.
