Southwind II at Shipyard is a resort of villas and townhomes on Colonnade Drive, inside the gated Shipyard community on the south end of Hilton Head Island. The units look out over lagoons, the fairways of Shipyard Golf Club and a forest preserve.
It is a timeshare in the Spinnaker Resorts family, and Hilton Head Accommodations rents the villas and townhomes to the public by the week in season and for shorter stays in the cooler months.
It is not the same resort as Southwind, Spinnaker’s townhomes on Southwind Drive next to The Carolina Club, which Spinnaker books itself.
Villas and Townhomes at Southwind II
There are four plans. The two-bedroom double master villa has vaulted ceilings, two king bedrooms and two full baths with jetted tubs. The two-bedroom villa has a king bedroom and a twin room, two baths and a breakfast bar. The three-bedroom townhomes, including the end units with vaulted ceilings and a bay window, have two king suites, a twin room upstairs and three baths.
All of them have granite counters, a sleeper sofa, a 75-inch smart TV and a private deck over the lagoon, the golf course or the woods. Linens, towels and starter supplies of soap, paper goods and detergent come with the unit.
Pool and Resort Amenities
The resort has a pool and hot tub, a playground and a picnic area, set among the lagoons and landscaped grounds. Parking is first come, first served, and a stay comes with two Shipyard car passes.
Golf, Tennis and Bikes
Book directly with Hilton Head Accommodations and the stay includes two bikes, greens fees for up to four players a day at Shipyard, Port Royal, Palmetto Hall and Oyster Reef golf clubs (cart fees still apply), and an hour of court time for four at the Port Royal Racquet Club. Tee times and court time depend on availability, and blackout dates can apply.
Booking and Check-In
From March through September, stays run Saturday to Saturday. From October through February there is a four-night minimum. Check-in is at the Hilton Head Accommodations office at 20 Executive Park Road, Suite 200, not at the resort. Pets are not allowed, apart from service animals, which the office asks to hear about before you arrive.

Where Southwind II Is
The resort is at 51 Colonnade Drive on the east side of Shipyard, near the Colonnade Club villas. It is not on the beach: the beach at the south end of Shipyard is a short bike ride away on the community’s paths, and Coligny Beach and Coligny Plaza are a short drive.
