What is the RBC Heritage golf tournament?

RBC — Royal Bank of Canada — has title-sponsored the tournament since 2012, the latest name in a lineage stretching back to the event’s 1969 founding. Of all the golf tournaments in Hilton Head, SC, it’s by far the biggest, and it’s the largest golf tournament in South Carolina (the state’s other PGA Tour event, the Myrtle Beach Classic in May, has a smaller field and a $4 million purse). It’s one of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events: a limited, star-heavy field, no 36-hole cut, and one of the Tour’s largest purses ($20 million in 2026). The Heritage Classic Foundation, the tournament’s charitable arm, has raised more than $50 million for Lowcountry causes over the event’s history.

When is the RBC Heritage played?

The RBC Heritage is played every April, the week after the Masters — the same slot it’s held since 1969. The 2027 tournament runs April 12–18, 2027, with the four competition rounds Thursday, April 15 through Sunday, April 18. The RBC Heritage 2026 dates were April 13–19, the week Matt Fitzpatrick won in a playoff. How to watch the RBC Heritage

Coverage splits between Golf Channel and CBS across the four rounds, with PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ streaming extended coverage — including featured-group and featured-hole feeds — all four days. CBS’s broadcast rounds also stream on Paramount+. Exact windows shift slightly year to year, so confirm the current schedule close to tournament week. Who won the RBC Heritage 2026?

Matt Fitzpatrick won the 2026 RBC Heritage, beating World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in a sudden-death playoff with a birdie on Harbour Town’s par-4 18th — the same hole that plays straight at the Harbour Town Lighthouse. The final-round highlights are at the top of this page.

Tickets for the next April go on sale each fall on the tournament’s own site. For 2027, a daily grounds ticket on Ticketmaster is from $108 and practice rounds are $33, fees included, and young people 15 and under get onto the grounds free with a ticketed adult. Where is the RBC Heritage played?

The RBC Heritage location never changes: every round is played at Harbour Town Golf Links, inside Sea Pines Resort at the south end of Hilton Head Island — the same Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus design that’s open for public tee times the rest of the year. RBC Heritage parking is outside Sea Pines: there is no general spectator parking inside the gate during tournament week. In recent years fans have parked free at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn or the Coligny Beach lot on Pope Avenue and ridden the tournament shuttle to Harbour Town, and bike racks go up near the Harbour Town clubhouse for anyone who rides in.
