Shipyard Golf Club Hilton Head Island
Shipyard Golf Hilton Head Island SC Overview
Shipyard Golf Club is one of the island’s oldest courses — 27 holes across three distinct nines, Clipper, Galleon, and Brigantine, combined in pairs for an 18-hole round. Two of the three, Clipper and Galleon, opened in 1970 as George Cobb designs; Willard C. Byrd’s Brigantine followed in 1982. From 1982 to 1984, Shipyard hosted the Hilton Head Senior International, an early PGA Tour Champions event. For the island’s other courses, see the full Hilton Head golf courses directory.

The Three Nines
One of Shipyard’s most demanding nines — long-game pressure, well-placed hazards, and large, well-bunkered greens.
One of Shipyard’s two original nines, moving through large oaks and tall pines for a classic Hilton Head test.
The shortest of the three nines, with lagoons, slight doglegs, and a premium on accuracy over length.
