Hilton Head Food Trucks

Hilton Head food trucks gather in two regular spots: a truck square on Marshland Road and a lot on William Hilton Parkway by Barnacle Bill’s.
Beautiful Island Square, Marshland Road
Beautiful Island Square, at 15 Marshland Road just off William Hilton Parkway, is a small food truck park with covered picnic seating and shade umbrellas. Several trucks park here full time, so it works as a lunch or dinner stop with something for everyone.

Tacos from a long menu: quesabirria, al pastor, asada, coconut and grilled shrimp, plus tortas and breakfast chilaquiles. Open from 7 a.m. daily, to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Venezuelan street food: arepas, tequeños and crisp chicken pastelitos, the dish people order again. Prices run higher than the other trucks in the square.
Two more counters share the square. Padama Fusion cooks Indian-Italian fusion, with pizzas, lasagnas, pita pockets and gelato, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Veny’s Kitchen serves Mexican tacos, tortas, plates and breakfast, open every day with shorter hours on Saturday. Caracol, a Honduran trailer, also parks in the square; it is new enough that it has no reviews yet. Call (843) 949-7711 for what is cooking.
William Hilton Parkway, by Barnacle Bill’s
Half a mile further south, two trucks sit on the parkway near the Gum Tree Road light. Jahmerican Jerk shares a picnic area behind Barnacle Bill’s Seafood Market, and Taco Fiesta parks in a gas station lot a short walk away.

Jamaican plates cooked to order: jerk chicken, oxtail, curry chicken with rice, peas and plantains, plus mahi bites, shrimp baskets and shrimp tacos.

Mexican tacos, burritos and quesadillas with properly hot salsas; al pastor and asada are the common orders. You get a buzzer and wait at the outdoor tables.
Breweries with food trucks
Two island taprooms have a truck outside, so you can order food with your beer. The trucks keep their own hours, which do not always match the bar’s.

A Pope Avenue beer garden shared with Side Hustle Brewing, with food trucks parked outside and lawn games. Walking distance from Coligny Beach.

A taproom on Island Drive with a small food truck out back serving shrimp tacos, crispy Brussels sprouts and fries alongside the house beers.
At festivals and events
Island festivals, oyster roasts and races bring in trucks from across the Lowcountry. One regular is worth knowing by name.

Wings, shrimp po’boys, fried shrimp baskets and boudin balls. It parks most days beside the Old Messex Store on May River Road in Bluffton and works food festivals around Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort. Lines at big festivals can be slow.
Tin & Tallow, now a burger restaurant on Spanish Wells Road, started out as a food truck in 2023. For dates of upcoming festivals, see events.
About this list
Hilton Head food trucks gather in two regular spots: a truck square on Marshland Road and a lot on William Hilton Parkway by Barnacle Bill’s. Both are on the north end, a short drive from the bridge, and both have picnic tables, so you can eat on the spot or carry a bag back to the beach.
Most of the island’s trucks are Latin American and Caribbean kitchens: tacos and birria, Venezuelan arepas and pastelitos, Honduran plates and Jamaican jerk. Trucks keep their own hours and some close on slow days or sell out, so call ahead before a special trip. Island breweries and festivals bring in visiting trucks too.

Yes. The Bank, the beer garden on Pope Avenue with Side Hustle Brewing, has food trucks outside, and Lincoln & South Brewing on Island Drive has a small truck behind the taproom serving shrimp tacos and fries.
