From outside the covered doors and windows look closed, which is part of the charm, and inside is a dim room with a long stone bar and a wall of bottles.
What to Drink at Starbird
Chief mixologist Shane McEnery runs a menu of signature cocktails, including a Manhattan variation called the Black Saint, the Emerald Snap and the Starbird Martini, alongside gin and tonics, a daiquiri, a mezcal margarita and a paloma. The bar makes its own cinnamon syrup, jalapeno and strawberry vodkas and even its own tonic. Reviewers single out the espresso martini and say the mocktails are just as considered. Drinks are made to order, so it can take a few minutes; sitting at the bar to watch is part of the experience.

Food is a short list of small bites. Guests mention a Sonoran hot dog and a paella. Starbird is open Tuesday to Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight, and closed Sunday and Monday. There is no reservation system on the site, so walk in.
