It is a French bakery owned by Chef Philippe Feret, who was a pastry chef at Taillevent in Paris and worked in New York at Windows on the World, Tavern on the Green and the Regency Hotel, and everything is baked from scratch each day. What to Order at Hilton Head Social Bakery
Croissants and brioche lead the morning, with the caramelized kouign-amann, muffins, turnovers and scones. The cases hold fruit tarts, lemon tarts, macarons, mousse cakes, cheesecake and tiramisu, and there is quiche and other lunch food all day. Reviewers single out how good the pastries look as well as how they taste. The coffee bar makes espresso drinks and iced coffee to go with them.
