Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina

Rated 4.1 out of 5 stars on Google

An RV resort with its own marina at the north end of Hilton Head Island: 200 sites with 30/50-amp hookups, two pools, a fuel dock and a restaurant on the water.

  • Where: 43 Jenkins Island Road, north end of the island
  • Sites: 200, interior and waterfront, all 30/50 amp
  • Marina: 101 slips, fuel dock, boat ramp
  • On site: two pools and a hot tub, Sunset Grille

Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina is at 43 Jenkins Island Road, the first stretch of the island after the bridges from Bluffton. It sits on the Intracoastal Waterway looking across to Pinckney Island, and it is the only RV resort on Hilton Head that takes RVs of every kind: the Motorcoach Resort on Arrow Road takes motorcoaches only.

The resort and the marina are one property, so you can keep a boat a short walk from your site, fuel up on the way out and eat dinner over the water at Sunset Grille. Some listings call it Hilton Head Harbor RV Park, and many spell it Harbour; it is the same place, and its trading name is simply Hilton Head Harbor.

RV Sites at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort

The resort has 200 sites on landscaped concrete pads, and every one has a 30/50-amp hookup. Sites come in two kinds, interior and waterfront, and the waterfront ones cost more. Guests on Google single out the tall hedges between sites and the views from the waterfront rows. The resort is pet friendly.

You book through the resort’s own website. For a stay of 30 days or more, call (843) 681-3256 for long-term rates, and ask about the military discount. Confirm your site number before you arrive.

Pools, Sunset Grille and What Else Is On Site

There are two swimming pools and a hot tub, one of them on the waterfront deck, plus a tennis court, a playground, an exercise room, saunas and a 24-hour laundry. Two bathhouses serve the RV sites, and WiFi and cable TV come with the site. A small RV store carries convenience items.

Sunset Grille, at the marina, is a separate restaurant that has been there since 1996, with windows over the water and marsh; call for a table. Jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards and dolphin tours rent from the docks, and there is a fishing pier.

The Marina at Hilton Head Harbor

Boats at the docks of the marina at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina

The marina has 101 slips for boats from 20 to 45 feet, with 30/50-amp shore power, fresh water and a gated entrance. A 226-foot transient and fuel dock on the Intracoastal sells ethanol-free gasoline and marine diesel, and there is a private boat ramp, a ship’s store and a bathhouse for boaters. Dockage is by the day, week, month or year, booked through Dockwa from the marina page.

Fishing charters run from the docks, and the boat charters guide lists who leaves from Hilton Head Harbor and the other north-end marinas. For what is biting, see fishing on Hilton Head.

Hilton Head Harbour RV Resort Is Not in Harbour Town

The Harbour spelling sends many people to Harbour Town, the marina and lighthouse in Sea Pines at the far south end. The two are at opposite ends of the island: Hilton Head Harbor is on Jenkins Island Road near the bridges; Harbour Town has no RV resort or campground, and its marina is covered on the Harbour Town marina page.

Getting There, and Getting to the Beach

Coming onto the island on US 278, Jenkins Island Road is just past the bridges, so you avoid island traffic with a big rig. The trade-off is the beach: none is within walking distance, and the beach parks are a drive down the island. The beaches guide has the parking at each.

Buying an RV Site at Hilton Head Harbor

The resort sells individual sites and pitches them as a rental investment. Prices and terms are not published; the resort’s sales team answers on the same phone number.
