Disney’s Beach House is the beach club for guests of Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. It stands at 11 Ocean Lane in Palmetto Dunes, about a mile from the resort, and it is how a stay on the marsh becomes a day on the sand. The Beach House is not a hotel, and it is not the Beach House hotel on South Forest Beach Drive.
It has a pool next to the dunes, a grill, somewhere to sit out of the sun, and a private walkway to the ocean.
Getting There: Shuttle and Parking
A free shuttle runs between the resort and the Beach House, which is why most guests do not drive. Guests who come by car or bike find parking under the building and in the lot alongside. Some guests cycle over. Check Disney’s page for this season’s shuttle times, because they shift through the year.
The Pool, Signals and the Beach
The Beach House pool is heated and sits beside the dunes, with plenty of seating, clean restrooms and showers. Signals is the walk-up grill for lunch and snacks, with a pool bar beside it; its menu and season are on Disney’s site. Beach toys are lent to guests, there are games and an arcade, and a private walkway leads to the ocean. Surfmen’s Station, the air-conditioned room with a fireplace, TV and memorabilia from the life-saving days, is where families go to cool down.
Who Can Use It
Access is for guests staying at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, so plan on a different beach if you are not staying there. If you want a public stretch of sand nearby, Palmetto Dunes beach has the access points.
