Coco’s on the Beach is a tiki bar on the sand at Hilton Head Resort, at the end of a boardwalk from the parking lot. It is the casual answer to lunch or a cold drink without leaving the beach: cocktails, burgers and sandwiches, served under a roof of string lights with the ocean a few steps off.

Tropical cocktails are what most people come for, and reviewers also praise the burgers, including the buckeye burger, and the bologna sandwich. Stick with the basics: a burger and fries is what the crowd orders. There is no online menu to link, so plan on reading the boards at the bar.

Parking, the Boardwalk and Crowds

You pay for parking at the lot, and Coco’s credits it against your tab, so keep your ticket and show it at the bar. The walk out is a long boardwalk, and a courtesy golf cart runs along it. On holiday weekends and busy afternoons the line for drinks and food can run 20 minutes or more, and reviewers say service can be slow. It does not take reservations. There are sand volleyball courts beside the bar and showers to rinse off.
