What to Order at Casablanca

The chicken kebabs are the dish reviewers write about most, described as juicy and tender enough to cut with almost no effort. Lamb and beef gyros and chicken shawarma come as wraps or platters over basmati rice with pickled vegetables, and the hummus and warm pita get their own praise. There is falafel, spanakopita, grape leaves and a mixed sampler for a table, and reviewers point to the pistachio baklava for dessert. Wraps run about $11 to $13 and entrees $18 to $32. Hours and Reservations

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and closed Monday. It does not advertise online reservations, so call (843) 802-0031 if you have a larger group. It serves beer and wine, and takeout, curbside pickup and catering are all available if you would rather eat back at your rental.

Reviewers describe a warm welcome, friendly owners and quick service, with portions big enough for leftovers and good value. One family who has vacationed on the island for seven years called it a find and liked having a lighter, healthier option. A guest asked for some background music in the dining room, which is the only suggestion that shows up.
