Telfair Plantation is a gated community in Jasper County with guard-controlled entry and oversized home sites, mostly one to three acres and a few larger. The sites face tidal marsh, ponds or old rice-field water, shaded by live oaks. Utilities run underground: public water and sewer, electric, natural gas and fiber.

The land comes first here. Most of what is for sale is a lot, so Telfair suits people who want to design and build, with houses coming up for resale less often.
