The Jingle Jingle Bridge Run is Hilton Head's Christmas Eve race, and 2026 is its 35th year. Bear Foot Sports runs it, with Mercedes-Benz of Hilton Head as title sponsor. There are two races, a 5K run/walk and a 10K run, both starting at 8 a.m. from Crossings Park, the Town park off Arrow Road in the middle of the island.
The 10K is the one that earns the name: it heads out over the Cross Island Parkway bridge across Broad Creek and back. Costumes are encouraged, and the race is done in time for Christmas Eve plans.
The 5K and the 10K
Over the bridge and back
8 a.m., 90-minute limit
A run up and over the bridge and back to Crossings Park. Because the course uses the bridge, the state Department of Transportation sets a 90-minute time limit, so walkers are asked to choose the 5K. New for 2026: every 10K finisher gets an ornament.
The run/walk
8 a.m.
The shorter race, open to runners and walkers, and the one to pick if you plan to walk or are bringing family who want an easy morning out.
Prizes in both races
The top three men and women overall, the top masters (40 and over) and the age-group winners are recognised.
Packet pickup and race morning
Packets are handed out at Crossings Park on Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., and again on race morning from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. The race asks that race-morning pickup be kept for people driving in from out of town.
Parking is free at Crossings Park and the streets around it.
What to know before you sign up
No dogs on the course
Pets are not allowed in either race.
No baby joggers
Strollers and baby joggers are not allowed, in the 5K or the 10K.
Rain, shine or snow
The race runs whatever the weather, and entry fees are not refunded.
The rest of Christmas Eve on Hilton Head
After the race, the island's Christmas Eve is mostly church services and dinner. These guides cover both.

Tree lightings, Harbour Town and Shelter Cove events, and the holiday markets.
