HHiBACHi Catering

HHiBACHi Catering brings a hibachi chef and grill to your vacation rental, backyard, party or wedding on Hilton Head and in Bluffton. The chef sets up outside and cooks dinner in front of the group, with the flames and the knife work you would get at a hibachi restaurant, and the crew brings the tables, chairs, tablecloths, plates, bowls, utensils and napkins too.
Menus and Prices
Every menu comes with soup, salad, fried rice and vegetables. Golden Chopsticks is steak, teriyaki chicken and shrimp for $50 a person, with a 15-adult minimum. Zen Feast trades up to filet mignon and jumbo shrimp with teriyaki chicken for $70 a person, with a 10-adult minimum. Epicurean Odyssey is filet mignon, lobster, scallops and teriyaki chicken for $100 a person, with an 8-adult minimum. Kids 10 and under get the Panda Platter, one protein for $30, with no minimum.
Add-ons are priced per guest: edamame or seaweed salad for $4, gyoza or noodles for $6.
Set-Up Fee, Gratuity and Travel
Each booking has a $300 set-up fee, plus tax, that covers the first 15 guests, and $20 for each guest after that. The $300 is paid up front to hold the date and is not taken off the final bill, and a party of 30 or more pays a larger deposit. A 20 percent gratuity is added to the bill. So 15 adults on Golden Chopsticks comes to $750 for dinner plus the $300 set-up fee, before gratuity and tax.
There is no travel charge on Hilton Head or in Bluffton. Farther out it is $3 a mile, round trip, and an event more than about 50 miles away may need a different date or time.
The Sunset Hibachi Cruise
HHiBACHi also cooks on a sunset hibachi dinner cruise: two hours on a catamaran out of Broad Creek Marina, with steak, chicken, shrimp, fried rice, vegetables and salad off a grill on board and a bar with local beer and wine. It is booked through Island Head, about $110 for adults and $70 for kids 12 and under. More boats are on the Hilton Head dinner cruises page.
