Racquet Club Villas is a villa complex on Lighthouse Road, a short walk from Harbour Town, with its own clay tennis courts and pool. From here you can walk to dinner at the harbour and to the first tee of Harbour Town Golf Links.

It is one of the villa and home rentals in Sea Pines we cover. Do not mix it up with the Sea Pines Racquet Club, the resort’s tennis center, which is a separate place.

The Villas

Most units are one or two bedrooms, sleeping two to six; a few owners have renovated larger three-bedroom units. The buildings have no elevator. Units look out over a lagoon or the golf course, and the resort’s descriptions mention covered patios and balconies facing the water.

The resort’s units ran from about $140 to $875 a night before taxes and fees. One of its 12 allowed a dog.

Tennis and the Pool

The complex has Har-Tru clay courts and a pool of its own. Booking through the resort adds two free hours of tennis a day at the Sea Pines Racquet Club, where the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy also runs its junior program, and use of the Harbour Town Pool. The resort’s listings mark complex pools closed from October to April.

Heritage week is the one to plan around. The RBC Heritage is played at Harbour Town Golf Links, a short walk away, each April, and the resort warns that access to Harbour Town is limited during play. If you are coming for the tournament, this is a very convenient place to stay; if you are not, pick another week. See RBC Heritage.
