Classes
The Sea Pines workout center runs a weekly schedule of small classes, among them Tabata, Cardio Strength Interval, Total Body Conditioning and Stretch with Core, plus Beach Yoga and a class called Cardio Splash. Each studio class holds 12 people, so book ahead. Cancel at least an hour before, or a $5 no-show charge goes on your account; Beach Yoga and Cardio Splash need 24 hours’ notice.
House Rules
Athletic clothes and athletic shoes, and shirts on at all times.
Teens 12 to 15 work out with an adult 18 or older, and anyone 12 to 17 needs a waiver signed by an adult.
The equipment floor is phone-free: no calls, texts or video. Music through earbuds is fine.
Phones go silent and away during classes.
The Sea Pines Gym and Everything Around It
The Sea Pines gym sits in the same center as Le Spa, coffee at C’est Bon and the Tuesday farmers market, so a workout turns into a morning out easily. The fitness center also sells the resort’s Crafts to Go kits (stuffed animals, birdhouses, frames) for children back at the villa.
For exercise outdoors, the leisure trails are flat and paved; see Sea Pines bike rentals. For gyms elsewhere on the island, see gyms and exercise in Hilton Head, and for more to do inside the gate, our guide to Sea Pines activities.
