Sea Pines Bicycle Rentals and Bike Trails

Sea Pines bike rentals come from two shops inside the gate: the resort’s own bicycle shop next to Plantation Golf Club, and South Beach Bike Rentals at the southern tip. Both rent beach cruisers and kids’ bikes, and both will bring them to your door. Delivery companies from the rest of the island come in too.

One rule catches people out: e-bikes, pedal-assist included, are not allowed on the Sea Pines leisure trails. The CSA, which runs the trails, also keeps them for property owners and guests, so renting here makes the most sense if you are staying inside the gate. Sea Pines Resort Bike Rentals

The resort’s bicycle shop is at 100 N Sea Pines Drive, beside Plantation Golf Club, and opens 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day (as of September 2026). It rents 24- and 26-inch cruisers, tall-frame cruisers for taller riders, 16- and 20-inch kids’ bikes and cruisers with a child seat, plus the extras families end up wanting: kiddie karts, trail-a-bikes, cargo carts and dog wagons.

Reserve ahead and the bikes can be waiting at your villa when you arrive; delivery is free on rentals of three days or more. Resort guests with a Guest Amenity Card, property owners, and military, first responders and educators get lower rates. Prices are not posted online, so call the Sea Pines bike shop at 843-842-1890 for a quote.

South Beach Bike Rentals

South Beach Bike Rentals is at 230 South Sea Pines Drive, at the South Beach end of Sea Pines near South Beach Marina Village. Its own site lists hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (as of September 2026; one listing site says 8:30, so call 843-671-2453 if you are cutting it close). It rents cruisers and kids’ bikes, puts a lock in with every rental, and will either deliver or have you pick up at the shop. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available too, but only alongside a bike.

The booking card at the top of this page is its walk-up rental, from one hour to four weeks. The shop suggests rides from South Beach up to Harbour Town and out to Lawton Stables, and the beach at South Beach is just behind the marina.

Hilton Head Bike Rentals That Deliver to Sea Pines

Several island-wide rental companies deliver into Sea Pines as well. Peddling Pelican keeps an office at the Shops at Sea Pines Center, but it works as a delivery service rather than a counter you can walk up to. If you book with an island-wide company, ask for a standard bike: many of them rent e-bikes, and those cannot go on the trails here. Sea Pines Bike Trails

The trails are paved leisure paths that link Harbour Town, the Sea Pines Beach Club, South Beach and the villa neighborhoods, so a bike gets you to most of the resort without the car. The resort puts the network at 15 miles and the CSA at 17. Either way it is flat.

The CSA’s rules are short. Ride single file on the right, give pedestrians the right of way and call out “passing on your left,” use hand signals and obey the signs, and lock your bike whenever you leave it. It asks everyone, children most of all, to wear a helmet. Golf carts are banned as well as e-bikes, and the CSA’s medical exemption for e-bikes is open only to property owners.

The trails in the Sea Pines Forest Preserve are for walking only, but there is bike parking at the entrance, so riding over and walking in works well. For a route, the CSA posts leisure trail maps on its maps page.
