Quarterdeck, Waterfront Dining in Harbour Town

Quarterdeck Hilton Head is the waterfront restaurant beside the Harbour Town Lighthouse, run by The Sea Pines Resort. It sits on the harbor facing Calibogue Sound, and from the rooftop bar you can see the lighthouse, the water and the 18th hole of Harbour Town Golf Links at the same time.

You will see it written as the Quarterdeck, Quarter Deck, Quarterdeck HHI, Quarterdeck Sea Pines and Quarterdeck Harbour Town; it is one restaurant. There are other restaurants called Quarterdeck around the country, so this page means the one in Harbour Town.

Quarterdeck Hilton Head Island: Three Places to Sit

The Quarterdeck restaurant has a first-floor dining room, a wraparound deck outside it, and the rooftop oyster bar with 270-degree views. The deck is the pick on a nice evening, and the resort welcomes dogs on the lower deck. In season there is live music from 4 to 7 p.m., and the upper levels are a sunset spot.

The menu is local seafood and Southern cooking: a full raw bar, charcoal-roasted dishes, and seasonal Lowcountry plates built on South Carolina ingredients, with a wine list that goes from familiar bottles to allocated ones. Lunch runs until 4 p.m. and dinner starts at 4. There is a kids menu and gluten-free options. The Quarterdeck menu itself is on the resort’s site, behind the menu button above. For a panini or an ice cream to go, Quarterdeck Market is inside the same building.

The resort recommends reservations, and the reserve button above goes to its booking page. Parties of eight or more book by phone at 843-842-1999. Dress is casual. The bar stays open an hour later than the kitchen.

Getting There
