South Beach Bike Rentals is the bike shop at the southern tip of Sea Pines, at 230 South Sea Pines Drive, a short walk from South Beach Marina Village. It rents beach cruisers and kids’ bikes by the hour, the day or the week, and it will either deliver them to where you are staying or have them waiting at the shop.

The sign out front says South Beach Cycles, which it shares with the South Beach Racquet Club next door. Same shop, two names — worth knowing when you are looking for it from the road.

What It Rents

Beach cruisers and kids’ bikes are the core of it, in sizes for the whole family, and a lock comes with every rental at no charge. Beach chairs, umbrellas and the rest of the beach kit can be added, but only alongside a bike — this is a bike shop that also does beach gear, not the other way round.

The shop does not post prices on its own site, so the booking card above is the reliable place to see what a given length costs. Rentals run from an hour up to four weeks.

Delivery or Pickup

You can collect at the shop, or have the bikes delivered free to your villa or house. Delivery is the usual choice for a week-long stay, because a rack of cruisers outside the door beats four people walking to South Beach on day one. Collection makes more sense for a short rental, or if you are staying near South Beach anyway.

Where You Can Ride

The shop’s own suggestions are the two obvious ones: north up to Harbour Town, and across to Lawton Stables. The beach at South Beach is right behind the marina, which makes this the shop to rent from if the beach is the point.

Two rules to know before you book, both set by the CSA rather than the shop. E-bikes, pedal-assist included, are not allowed on the Sea Pines leisure trails. Getting to the Shop

South Beach is at the far southern end of Sea Pines, which is gated. Unless you own property there, are a resort guest or have a Sea Pines rental booking, the gate fee is $10 per day for a standard vehicle, and day visitors are not allowed to ride in on a bicycle; the guest pass office page has the rest. The shop opens 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily by its own listing, though one directory says 8.30, so call if you are cutting it close.
