The Shops at Sea Pines Center, Hilton Head Island, SC, sit at 71 Lighthouse Road, in the middle of the resort rather than at either end. Sea Pines Center is where people staying in Sea Pines go for the everyday things: a coffee, groceries and a bottle of wine, a haircut, the gym, the post office. It is a small, open-air shopping center, not a mall.
Sea Pines shopping on Hilton Head is split between three places: Harbour Town for the marina boutiques, South Beach for the Salty Dog shops, and here for clothing, jewelry, galleries and the practical errands. The Shops at Sea Pines Center Directory
Here are the Sea Pines Center stores, restaurants and services as the center lists them, with a page of our own for most. Hours vary by shop and by season, so check the center’s own store directory before making a special trip.
Two of the shops are things to do rather than places to browse: the Sea Love candle bar, where you pour your own candle, and Sea Pines Pottery, a paint-your-own studio. Both are indoors, so they suit a rainy day; more are in our rainy-day guide.
Clothing, Jewelry and Gifts
An independent bookshop and stationer: books, cards, pens and sealing wax. Weekdays only.
Pour your own candle, or buy one ready-made, plus apparel and home goods.
Groceries, Wine and Supplies
A general store with groceries, wine, a walk-in beer cooler, beach gear and gas, plus hot breakfast and lunch on weekdays.
A market as well as a restaurant, with local produce and prepared food to take back to the villa.

Galleries and Studios
Fine-art photography on canvas by Jeff Keefer, with framing. Proceeds go to Parkinson’s research.
Work by local artists; the gallery gives 10% of sales to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation.
Sea Pines Center Restaurants

Services, Wellness and Rentals
A day spa and salon for hair, nails, body and facial treatments, and bridal parties.
Equipment, classes and personal trainers, in Suite 122.
Delivers rental bikes, cribs, high chairs, pack and plays, wagons and jogging strollers.
The center also has a small United States Postal Service office, open weekday mornings, and business offices, including Lighthouse Realty and Hagood Homes of the Lowcountry.
The Tuesday Farmers & Makers Market
From March through November the Plaza fills up every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with produce stands, local makers and live music. Our page on the Sea Pines farmers market has the details.
Getting to Sea Pines Center
Enter Sea Pines through the main gate on Greenwood Drive, just off Sea Pines Circle. Stay on Greenwood for about three miles to Fraser Circle, take the first right onto Lighthouse Road, and the center is on your left after two-tenths of a mile.
Day visitors pay the Sea Pines gate fee, $10 per vehicle; the center’s own site still shows the old $9 figure. Some merchants say they will refund the fee when you shop with them, so ask before you count on it. The guest pass office page explains how the pass works.

What shoppers say
Reviewers describe a range that runs from high-end boutiques to local gift shops, in a setting they find worth walking around for its own sake, and the public washrooms get singled out as spotless often enough to count as a theme. The one recurring complaint is narrow and specific: the liquor store is called overpriced. That is the whole of the negative side.
