Sea Pines Circle Immediate Care is a walk-in clinic on Greenwood Drive, just off the Sea Pines Circle and just outside the gate to Sea Pines. It is open seven days a week with no appointment, and it is run by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice clinicians. For a cut that needs stitches, a stingray sting or a sprained ankle on vacation, it is the practical alternative to a long wait in an emergency room.

Of the places to get Hilton Head urgent care, Sea Pines Circle Immediate Care is the one right at the circle. It is outside the gate, so you do not need a Sea Pines pass to get there. This page covers what it treats, when it is open and when to go to the hospital instead. Hours are.

Sea Pines Urgent Care: What the Clinic Treats

The list reads like a summary of what goes wrong on a beach vacation:

• Beach and water injuries: stingray, jellyfish and coral injuries, fish hooks and splinters, sunburn and other burns

• Cuts and wounds: stitches, staples or glue, and draining an abscess

• Sprains and breaks: there is portable X-ray on site, and they can splint

• Illness: ear infections, sore throats, flu, coughs and pneumonia, eye infections, stomach trouble, allergic reactions, headaches and urinary complaints

• Quick tests: strep, flu, COVID-19, mono, urinalysis and pregnancy tests in the clinic

It also sees local patients for routine care, including blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol management, pre-surgery clearances and school or sports physicals, which were $45 cash. It no longer gives vaccinations; the clinic will send a prescription to a pharmacy instead.

Sea Pines Circle Immediate Care Hours and Holidays

Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On busy days it can stop taking new patients before closing time, so in summer especially, go early or call 843-341-2700 before you drive over. It is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and closes at 2 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day.

Finding the Clinic

Take the Greenwood Drive exit off the Sea Pines Circle, toward the Sea Pines gate. The clinic is in the Carolina Center complex on the right, behind the bank. You can also reach its parking lot through the shopping center with Staples and Starbucks, off Palmetto Bay Road.

Insurance and Paying

The clinic takes many major insurance plans and asks for the co-pay at the visit; call to check yours if you are from out of state. It accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, HSA and HRA cards and cash, and it offers self-pay pricing if you have no insurance.

When to Go to the Hospital Instead

For chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of a stroke, a serious head injury or anything that feels life-threatening, call 911. The island’s hospital emergency room is at Novant Health Hilton Head Medical Center, 25 Hospital Center Boulevard. Inside Sea Pines, Sea Pines security answers 843-671-7170 around the clock and every patrol car carries a defibrillator, but call 911 first.
