The Starboard Shop in Harbour Town

The Starboard Shop is The Sea Pines Resort’s own store in the Harbour Town shops, and the place to buy anything with the lighthouse or the resort’s logo on it. The resort calls it its signature store; the sign over the door is plainer, and says logoed apparel and gifts.

What the Sea Pines Starboard Shop Sells

Clothes for men and women carrying the Harbour Town lighthouse or the Sea Pines logo are the core of it: polos, tees, button-downs and hats. Around them are jewelry, sunglasses and home decor, down to candles and hand soap with the lighthouse on the label. The brands are the ones you see across the Lowcountry: Peter Millar, Southern Tide, Nectar, Holderness & Bourne, Teleties, Low Country Linens, Bluffton Candle Company and Fire and Pine. The room is fitted out like a boat, with dark wood floors and white shelving.

The Resort’s Other Shops

The resort runs a few more stores of its own. In Harbour Town there is Lighthouse Kids Co., a children’s shop, and the pro shop in the Harbour Town Clubhouse beside Harbour Town Golf Links. Most of the rest of the row, from the boutiques to the Cinnamon Bear Country Store, is locally owned.

Getting There

Harbour Town is at the south end of Sea Pines, behind a gate. Unless you own property there, are a resort guest or have a Sea Pines rental booking, the gate fee is $10 per day for a standard vehicle. Park in the Harbour Town lot and walk in; the shop is at 149-C Lighthouse Road, in the row around the yacht basin, a few minutes from the lighthouse.
