The Sea Pines bicycle shop is the resort’s own rental counter, at 100 North Sea Pines Drive beside Plantation Golf Club. It opens 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day, and it is the shop to use if you are staying with the resort: registered guests get a lower rate, as do property owners, military, first responders and educators.

It is also the only bike shop inside Sea Pines that repairs and sells bikes as well as renting them, which matters more than it sounds if something goes wrong mid-week.

The Rental Fleet

Cruisers in 24 and 26 inch, plus tall-frame cruisers for riders the standard frame does not suit. Children get bikes with training wheels, and there is a 26-inch cruiser fitted with a child seat.

The tow-behind range is where this shop is strongest for families: kiddie karts, trail-a-bikes for a child who can pedal but should not be on their own bike yet, cargo carts, and dog wagons. Between them you can get a group with a toddler and a dog onto the trails without anyone being left behind.

Repairs, Sales and Accessories

The shop sells new bikes and accessories and does repairs. It is worth knowing about even if you did not rent from here: a flat or a slipped chain on a week-long rental from anywhere in Sea Pines has a workshop to go to, inside the gate, rather than a drive off-island.

Booking and Delivery

Reserve ahead — the resort recommends it, and summer weeks go. Delivery is free on rentals of three days or more, so a week’s bikes can be waiting at the villa when you arrive rather than costing you an afternoon. Where It Fits Among the Sea Pines Bike Shops

There are three rental options inside the gate and they do not overlap much. This one is the resort’s, good for guests, families with tow-behinds, and anything needing a repair. South Beach Bike Rentals is at the far southern end, bookable online by the hour, and the one to use if the beach at South Beach is the point. Getting to the Shop

North Sea Pines Drive runs off Greenwood Drive, not far inside the main gate, and the shop shares its corner with Plantation Golf Club. Unless you own property in Sea Pines, are a resort guest or have a rental booking there, the gate fee is $10 per day for a standard vehicle, and day visitors may not ride in on a bicycle; the guest pass office page has the rest.
