Knickers is the men’s clothing shop in the Harbour Town shops, and it has been dressing men in Sea Pines since 1971. Its sign shows an old-time golfer in knickers and promises casual men’s attire and accessories. Online it goes by Knickers HHI.

Classic Southern clothes for a resort week and after it: button-down shirts, jeans, twill trousers and shorts, belts and sandals. Among the labels on its shelves are 34 Heritage jeans, Castaway shorts, Hari Mari sandals, Hook N Hide belts and Forrest Lennard trousers.
Who Runs It
This is a small shop, and the people behind the counter are much of the point. Jock Miller has been part of Knickers since 1981, according to Hilton Head Monthly, and reviewers name him and his colleagues for help with fit and with picking out gifts ahead of a trip. Part-time residents say they stop in every time they are on the island.
Getting There
Harbour Town is at the south end of Sea Pines, behind a gate. Unless you own property there, are a resort guest or have a Sea Pines rental booking, the gate fee is $10 per day for a standard vehicle.
