Swallowtail at Sea Pines is a timeshare community of two-story townhouses on Lighthouse Road, backing onto the Heron Point golf course and across the street from The Shops at Sea Pines Center. It sits almost exactly halfway between Harbour Town and the Sea Pines Beach Club, a little over half a mile from each, so you can leave the car parked for most of a stay.

It is one of the villa and home rentals in Sea Pines we cover, and like Spicebush it sits outside the resort’s own rental program.

The Townhouses

Each unit has two bedrooms and two baths over two floors, plus a sitting room that converts for extra sleeping and a living room that opens toward the trees and the fairway. Owners buy specific weeks in a specific unit, a model Swallowtail says it was one of the first to offer, and units come up for rent only now and then.

Swallowtail is managed by The Club Group, which also runs Spicebush and rents both under the Heritage Vacations name. Check dates and book online through the community’s site (swallowtailatseapines.com), or call 843-671-0409 about rentals. Once you are booked, the front desk is at 843-671-1400. Since the resort is not the landlord, the resort’s Guest Amenity Card is not included. The courses, restaurants and beach are all still open to you.
