Salty Dog Cams, Hilton Head

Salty Dog web cameras on the cafe dock, South Beach Marina and the pool in Sea Pines, and on the Downtown Salty Dog patio.

The Salty Dog Cafe Cam on the Dock

The main Salty Dog webcam turns between a few views. From above the cafe it looks down on the deck, a sea of navy-and-cream umbrellas under striped awnings with the water behind; turned the other way, it follows the wooden walkway out over the water to the docks of South Beach Marina, with tables along the rail and the marsh beyond the boats. Check it for the crowd and the weather before you drive down to the south end of the island; the menu, hours and gate fee are on our Salty Dog Cafe page. The picture is a still that changes about once a minute, so give it a moment if nothing moves.

South Beach Marina Cam

This camera also moves between views. One looks over the navy-and-cream umbrellas on the Salty Dog’s deck, past a palmetto, to the boats in South Beach Marina and the open water toward Calibogue Sound; another looks across the marina to the shops and buildings of the village on the far side. It is the one to check for the sky over the sound. The double-deck catamaran in the slips is the boat the Salty Dog Cruise goes out on.

South Beach Pool Cam

The Salty Dog also keeps a camera on the South Beach Pool in the marina village, a pool ringed with blue lounge chairs under the trees. It is a private summer pool for participating Sea Pines property owners and their guests, run by its own company rather than the cafe, and it closed for the 2026 season on September 11, so out of season the chairs stay empty. Who can swim there is on our Sea Pines pools page.

Downtown Salty Dog Camera

This camera is not at South Beach. It is on the patio of The Downtown Salty Dog, the brand’s separate restaurant at 6 Target Road, mid-island near the Sea Pines Circle, and shows the covered patio bar with its high stools and the tables beyond. The restaurant is outside the Sea Pines gate and has its own menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the Salty Dog webcams?

Three are at South Beach Marina in Sea Pines: one on the dock outside the Salty Dog Cafe, one looking over the cafe deck to the marina, and one on the South Beach Pool. The fourth is on the patio of the Downtown Salty Dog, the brand’s separate restaurant on Target Road, outside the Sea Pines gate.

Is the Salty Dog live camera a video stream?

No. Each Salty Dog cam is a still picture that the camera replaces about once a minute, so the view is current but it does not move like video. If a picture looks frozen, give it a minute and it will change.

Can I see the Salty Dog Cafe deck on the webcam?

Yes, for part of the time. Both South Beach cams turn between a few views, and each spends part of its turn on the umbrella tables of the cafe’s deck. That makes them handy for seeing how busy it is, since the cafe does not take reservations.

Where can I see other Hilton Head webcams?

Our Hilton Head webcams page has live cams from the Dunes House and Sea Pines beaches, Harbour Town, Shelter Cove Marina and the Beaufort County traffic cameras. The Palmetto Dunes cams have a page of their own.
