Goodwill at 95 Mathews Drive
Hilton Head Island has one Goodwill, at 95 Mathews Drive. It is operated by Palmetto Goodwill, the regional Goodwill organization for this part of South Carolina. Unlike the island’s church and charity shops, it keeps retail hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
What You Will Find
Mostly clothing, with racks for men, women and kids, plus shoes, housewares, glassware and kitchen items on wall shelves. Shoppers describe a very clean store and say the best finds come to people who look through everything. It is the most dependable thrift stop on a Sunday, when the volunteer shops are all closed.
Donating at Goodwill
The store has a donation drop-off section. Check Palmetto Goodwill’s store page or call (843) 790-8589 for current donation hours and what they can accept.
