How this is calculated

Course Handicap = Handicap Index × (Slope ÷ 113) + (Course Rating − Par), rounded to a whole number. For example, a 14.2 index on the Dye tees (75.8 / 140, par 72) is 14.2 × 140 ÷ 113 + (75.8 − 72) = 21.4, which rounds to 21. Some formats and events apply a percentage allowance on top of this number, so check your event’s rules.

About Hampton Hall Club

Hampton Hall Club opened its Pete Dye-designed course in the mid-2000s, winding through the residential Hampton Hall community’s lagoons, wetlands, and stands of Lowcountry pine and oak. Dye was reportedly unwell for much of the original construction, and in 2022 the club brought in architect Nathan Crace to rebuild the drainage, resurface the greens, and renovate the bunkers — Crace found Dye’s original hand-drawn hole sketches on site and used them to finish detailing the course as Dye had intended. The renovated course reopened to members in 2023.
