Belfair Golf Club, Bluffton, SC

The East Course is the links-style layout, with naturalized sand areas and native grasses. It is a par 71, and the USGA’s course rating database lists it at 6,879 yards from the Championship tees, rated 73.9 with a slope of 142.

The West Course is the more traditional, manicured setting, through oaks and pines, with several tee boxes and subtle elevation changes. Its Championship tees play 7,147 yards, rated 75.0 with a slope of 143.

Belfair’s Performance Campus has several practice bays and a coaching program, and the club also has a Learning Center and a full-service golf shop.

Belfair is private, with no public tee-time booking. The golf program runs men’s and women’s associations of about 300 members each, plus couples’ games. Belfair says it holds 12 major events a year and about 60 weekly and biweekly ones, and that its culinary venues and racquet sports sit alongside the golf.
