Rees Jones’ 1982 design earned a Top 25 New Course ranking the year it opened, and the course still holds up as one of Hilton Head Plantation’s toughest tests — thick oak and pine line every fairway, with elevated tees and multi-tiered, well-bunkered greens throughout. The signature par-3 6th plays 192 yards from the championship tees to a green set against the backdrop of Port Royal Sound.
