Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy, Hilton Head

The Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy is the resort’s instruction program, run out of the Arthur Hills course, with staff at the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront and George Fazio courses as well. Clinics and Free Demonstrations

The daily clinics are at Arthur Hills from 10 to 10:50 a.m. and were $50 a person as of September 2026. Each weekday has a topic: putting and chipping on Monday, full swing on Tuesday, a ladies-only clinic on Wednesday, pitching on Thursday, and full swing again on Friday. On Mondays from 4 to 4:50 p.m. at the Jones course the academy staff runs a free clinic and demonstration for all skill levels, with weekly prizes. It is an easy way to meet the instructors before you book anything.

Two-Day and Three-Day Schools

The two-day school is a 4-to-1 group with nine holes a day, video analysis, range access, and a rental discount, and was $750 as of September 2026. The three-day school is a 2-to-1 group with four hours of instruction daily, 18 holes a day, and on-course coaching, at $1,650. The academy also has a family program for a group of four, with flexible scheduling, priced at $1,690 per family. Two specialty schools cover mental golf and advanced wedge play. Junior Golf at the Academy

Little Swingers is for ages 3 to 7 and needs a parent taking part. Junior Clinics are for ages 8 to 17, with a different lesson each day and clubs provided. The summer junior programs run June 1 to August 31. For a year-round, full-time alternative, see the Junior Players Golf Academy.

Instructors and Technology

Doug Weaver is the Director of Instruction and a former PGA Tour player, and the resort reports he was included in Golf Digest’s Best Teachers list for 2026 to 2027. Directors and head professionals at each of the three courses lead the staff, several of them PGA Class A professionals. Lessons use the V1 digital coaching system, which records a swing and compares it side by side with Tour players. Private lessons are 50 minutes.
