Carefree Boat Club Hilton Head at Palmetto Bay Marina
A boat club at Palmetto Bay Marina: members book a boat from the fleet instead of owning one.
- Where: Palmetto Bay Marina
- How it works: membership, boats booked from the fleet
- Own a boat?: no
Carefree Boat Club keeps its Hilton Head boats at Palmetto Bay Marina, on the south side of the island. Members book a boat from the club’s fleet when they want to go out, without owning, storing or maintaining one.
Is a Boat Club Right for a Visit?
A boat club is a membership, not a day rental, so it suits people who plan to be on the water often: locals, second-home owners and long-stay families. For a single afternoon, a rented pontoon boat or a captained charter is simpler. The marina’s own page has the details on the club and its fleet.
