Endangered Arts is a fine-art gallery at 841 William Hilton Parkway, Unit B, in the South Island Square shopping center near the Sea Pines Circle. Clay and Julie Rogers opened it in 1994, and they still run it, which is a big part of why collectors keep coming back.
What’s on the Walls
The gallery leans toward the coast and the natural world: ocean and marsh paintings, wildlife art, limited editions and originals, bronze sculpture and art glass. Artists it has carried include James Coleman, Rodel Gonzalez, Phillip Anthony, Nano Lopez and Wyland. The owners help with commissions from the artists they represent.
The October Show
Each October several featured artists come to the gallery to paint and talk about their work; regulars plan their visits around it. Check the gallery’s site for the dates.
Hours and Nearby
The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For the rest of the center, see South Island Square; for more of the island’s art, arts and theater on Hilton Head.
