The Homes at Olive Shell is a small gated community of about 40 new condos on Olive Shell Court, a short street off Spanish Wells Road on the Broad Creek side of mid-island Hilton Head. The buildings went up in 2024, so the homes are newer than most condos on the island.
Olive Shell Condos for Sale
There are two floor plans. The three-bedroom, which listings call the Magnolia, has about 1,687 square feet. The four-bedroom, the Somerset, has about 1,855, and one listing says its Somerset comes with a plunge pool. Every home has a two-car garage. The MLS files them as condominiums, and a few as townhouses.

Pool, Gate and Renting
The community has a pool, a garden area and a guarded gate. Several of the listings pitch these as homes to rent out, but whether you can rent one by the night is the association’s rule to confirm, not a listing’s. Renting any home on the island for fewer than 30 days also takes a Town short-term rental permit. Ask for the dues, the reserves and the leasing rules before you make an offer.

Olive Shell shares its road with older neighborhoods. Silver Moss is a gated neighborhood of houses on the same road, and Bailey’s Cove is nearby. Spanish Wells, the golf-and-dock community the road is named for, is a separate community.
