Summer Jobs on Hilton Head and Seasonal Hiring

Hiring for summer jobs on Hilton Head starts in spring and runs to Labor Day: resorts, restaurants, golf, rentals and the beaches all add staff. Sea Pines houses some of its seasonal workers in company apartments, and its seasonal openings appear in the federal seasonal job listings at seasonaljobs.dol.gov, which is where H-2B seasonal worker positions are posted. Island employers also hire international college students on J-1 Summer Work Travel visas, a State Department program that runs through designated sponsors, so a student should ask the employer which sponsor it uses.

A seasonal worker should ask early about housing and how to get to work. The free Breeze trolley runs from April to Labor Day.

Novant Health and Abode Development are building 140 workforce apartments, from studios to two-bedrooms, for households earning 80 to 150 percent of the area median income, with at least 30 percent held for Novant staff. Local reports put the first units in 2026.
