About the Coastal Empire Region
The Coastal Empire Region, CERPCA for short, is the Porsche Club of America’s region for Hilton Head and Savannah. It covers Beaufort and Jasper counties in South Carolina and ten counties around Savannah in Georgia, and has about 770 members. It began in September 2001, when 60 members in the southern counties of the Palmetto Region asked to form a region of their own, since Charleston, where that region met, was more than 100 miles away. PCA chartered it that December.
Drives, Meetups and the Concours
Most months the region holds a drive-and-dine: a convoy of 15 to 30 Porsches, from 356s and Speedsters to Caymans, new 911s and SUVs, driving the back roads of the Lowcountry and coastal Georgia to a museum or roadside attraction, then on to lunch or dinner. There are car care clinics and informal meetups too, such as Gears and Beers at Lot 9 Brewing in Bluffton and on Hilton Head, and Porsches and Pastries in Savannah. Members have made trips to Porsche Cars North America’s headquarters in Atlanta, the Werks Reunion and the Amelia Island Concours, and the region shows at the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance every fall.

Driver Education at Roebling Road
The region runs High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) weekends at Roebling Road Raceway, near Savannah. It isn’t racing: drivers are grouped by experience, and certified instructors teach in a safe, untimed setting. A DE can lead on to PCA Club Racing. The region’s next dates at the track are below.
