The Store Near Sea Pines Circle

Grayco is the south end’s full hardware store, on Bow Circle, a few blocks from Sea Pines Circle and a short drive from Sea Pines, Shipyard and Coligny. Half of the store is hardware: tools, fasteners, paint, plumbing and electrical parts, air filters and the supplies for most small repairs, plus beach and fishing gear. The other half is a home store, with coastal housewares, lamps, furniture and decor that shoppers say they do not see in other stores in the area.

The staff know where everything is, and they will track down a replacement for a broken dish or a part for an old fixture. For a bigger project, the island’s largest store is Ace Hardware at the north end, and the Home Depot and Lowe’s are in Bluffton; our Hilton Head hardware store guide lists them all.

Hours and Location

Grayco is open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8 to 6 and Sunday 9 to 5, the longest Sunday hours of any hardware store on the island.

For property managers and owners: Grayco is the nearest full hardware store to the south-end rentals. One owner of two Hilton Head rentals says they have never left without what they needed: filters, plumbing parts, paint and tools for a turnover-day repair.
