Broad Creek Care Center Hilton Head: What It Is
Broad Creek Care Center is the health center on the TidePointe campus, on Lemon Grass Court beside Broad Creek in the middle of the island. TidePointe is the continuing care community, run by Vi, and the care center is where its members go if they need more help, which is how a continuing care contract works. It is also open to people who live elsewhere.
Assisted Living and the Skilled Nursing Unit
The center has two kinds of care. Assisted living gives help with daily routines such as medications, meals and getting around. The skilled nursing unit has 25 Medicare-certified beds for short-term rehab after a hospital stay and for long-term care, and Vi lists a five-star overall rating from Medicare for it. Respite stays, a few days or weeks of care while a family caregiver is away or recovering, are available as space allows.
Who Gets a Bed
TidePointe residents have priority access to care. People who are not members can be admitted when there is space, at the center’s current rates, so a family does not have to buy into TidePointe to use the care center. Call to ask what is open.
