Taste of Bluffton

Taste of Bluffton is the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce’s food event: an oyster roast on the river in winter and a free food-truck night in the spring.

Taste of Bluffton is run by the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, with MiraSol Health as its presenting sponsor. It has had several shapes since it began on Calhoun Street, and the 2026 calendar had two editions. The rest of the town’s calendar is on our Bluffton events page.

When Is Taste of Bluffton?

  • Lowcountry Edition, 2026: Friday, Feb. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Oyster Factory Park, 63 Wharf Street.

  • Food Truck Edition, 2026: Friday, April 3, from 4 to 8 p.m., at New Riverside Barn Park, 30 Red Barn Drive.

  • Lowcountry Edition, 2025: Friday, Jan. 10, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Oyster Factory Park.

  • Organizer: Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, 843-757-1010. The Director of Programs and Events, Allison Canady, is the listed contact.

Dates move from year to year, so confirm the next edition with the Chamber before you plan a trip around it.

The Lowcountry Edition: Oyster Roast and Boil

The Lowcountry Edition is an oyster roast and Lowcountry boil on the river. In 2026 the ticket covered all-you-can-eat May River oysters, fresh local shrimp and pulled-pork sliders with the fixings, plus one drink ticket, and extra drinks came from a cash bar. Free parking was on site.

  • Advance (limited): $60 for Chamber members, $70 for non-members.

  • Day of the event: $70.

  • Same format in 2025: the January 2025 edition had the same menu and the same prices.

The park shares Wharf Street with the Bluffton Oyster Company. For more seafood, the Arts & Seafood Festival in October has its own oyster roast.

The Food Truck Edition

The Food Truck Edition is a casual, family evening with no tickets and no cover: you walk up and buy from the trucks. The 2026 night had food trucks from around Bluffton, live music, inflatable bouncers for the children and more, presented by MiraSol Health. The Chamber did not list the trucks by name.

It was held at New Riverside Barn Park, in the New Riverside area. Food trucks apply to the Chamber for a spot, and vendor registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How Taste of Bluffton Has Changed

The festival began as a street party. The fifth Taste of Bluffton, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, filled Calhoun Street in Old Town from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with restaurant tastings, a Waiters Race and a Battle of the Bands. The eighth, listed for Saturday, April 4, 2020, was a free event along Calhoun Street with food vendors, live music and drinks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and coolers were not allowed.

The Chamber’s recent calendars list it as the two editions above. For the street-festival feel on Calhoun Street today, see Mayfest in May and the Old Town guide.

Where Taste of Bluffton Is Held

Both venues are in Bluffton, not on Hilton Head Island. The oyster roast was held at the riverfront park in winter, and the food-truck night at the barn park on a spring evening.

Bluffton Oyster Factory Park

The working-waterfront park on the May River that hosted the Lowcountry Edition. 63 Wharf Street.

New Riverside Barn Park

The Town’s park and event barn on Red Barn Drive, where the 2026 Food Truck Edition was held.
